| iBed™ Interface - Stryker & West-Com |
Nurses have more responsibilities today then ever before. The Stryker's iBed™ Awareness option offers enhanced efficiency that allows them to focus more on care by reducing time spent on routine tasks such as bed checks and shift changes.
The iBed™ Awareness option is an exclusive feature that allows caregivers to select specific parameters that indicate a safe bed for a particular patient. It then locally notifies the caregiver (via a visual and optional audible alarm) if the pre-set parameters change, and the bed is now in an "unsafe" state. It also remotely notifies the caregiver via West-Call.
Stryker iBed Awareness™, in conjunction with West-Call's Novus System, enables facilities to provide a more informed level of care that can help improve productivity and directly impact positive outcomes.

| Local Positioning System |
The West-Call LPS is a Real Time Location System (RTLS) that uses ultrasound technology. A small wireless transmission Tag is securely attached to the object or person to be tracked. The Tag transmits its unique identification signal using ultrasound waves as the object or person moves throughout the monitored area. The Tag signals are transmitted at user defined preset time intervals when the Tag is in motion or at fixed intervals.
A Detector (microphone) dedicated to the room or a more finite location receives the transmitted ultrasound signals from the Tag. Using West-Call patented Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms, the Detector transmits the signals in digital format via the existing wired or wireless local area network (LAN) to a central computer/server, which stores the information about the Tag's location and the time of receipt of the Tag signal.
All West-Call RTLS information is accessible using West-Com Novus® Nurse Call Masters, existing and/or dedicated hospital computer screens, monitors, COW's, PDA's or similar devices. West-Call's LPS location device data may be integrated with systems from several innovative, experienced ad reputable application software and solutions partners. The hospital's own visualization software solution can also be considered for use.

When a patient enters the room, a color-coded button conveniently located outside each patient room is pressed, silently signaling that the patient is waiting. Room Status Panels represent different caregivers and room conditions through a variety of colored buttons and flashing lights. The West-Call® Endeavor Clinic can easily integrate with additional components such as wall-mounted Emergency Stations, Pull Cord Stations, Staff Duty Stations, Help Assist Stations and In-Room Patient Timers. | Marc II Intercom System |
New office potential: better internal communication and fewer disturbances. How many times during the day do you try to get a hold of someone who is not available? Multiply the time lost by the number of people on your staff and you'll be surprised how much effective working time gets wasted. Conventional systems such as the telephone and ordinary intercom systems give you no idea why the person you are trying to call doesn't answer, where he oe she is at that moment or when he or she will be back. Failure to get a reply interrupts the course of work, it is irritating and reduces motivation. These disturbance factors do not feature in any cost calculations and thus constitute shadow functions. The Marc II was designed to bring greater efficiency and more harmony to internal communications.
