The FocusCare Call Display Terminal with IPC-5 serves as a communication hub for the nurse call station, providing information access, patient calls, and emergency alerts through one concentrated device. Calls can be filtered from any controller or through the central terminal. The terminal’s 19-inch screen monitor allows for easy call/list management for patients and staff and provides visual call display and sound (audio handset not included). Staff information can be sent from another master station or entered manually. The terminal connects to the Nurse Call network via Ethernet.

The Patient CareBoard™ helps ensure that patients and staff are on the same page. It helps boost staff efficiency as well as keep patients informed along the way by communicating important reminders, updates, current requests and general information to assigned staff.
Replacing old-fashioned grease boards
The Unit CareBoard™ displays current status information for a set of beds in your facility to maximize the organization and time spent to respond. It is designed for hallways or nursing areas where a large screen monitor can provide current assignments, patient status information and various other custom selectable fields. Any changes (bed assignments, staffing, patient info, bed availability, etc.) made through the web interface, FocusCare® masters, ADT or other methods have the ability to be reflected on the Unit CareBoard™ display.
With the optional Stryker iBED interface, the Unit CareBoard™ can display information directly from each bed, including: bed exit, brake, side rail, fowler, bed height alarms.
The FocusCare Web Suite allows staff members to view and manage whatever patient information they require, while maintaining security against unauthorized access. The Web Suite provides browser access to information stored in the nurse call system for the following sections: Patient/bed, Equipment, Staff, Messaging, and Housekeeping. Virtually any information accessible through the FocusCare master user interface can be managed through the FCWeb Suite. The Suite additionally allows access to individual functions based on user ID/password profiles. Any user who has browser access to this application can use these functions, at the facility’s discretion. FocusCare Web Suite can also be used in the virtual clinic system.
Data and trend tracking software to improve patient care
FocusCare® Historian is West-Com's most advanced web-based data reporting software. Designed to provide users with important call reports based on patient and staff member activity, FocusCare Historian can help staff identify important trends and track drastic changes for a single bed, multiple beds, all beds for a selected master station, or all beds in the facility. By using Historian’s customized filter system, these reports can be generated based on multiple factors including: Patient Request, Response Time, Staff Members, Bed and Patient Information. These filters also help eliminate unnecessary data from reports, which enables the user to obtain specific information in a professional format. Reports are produced in full color for professional printing and for fast and easy information recovery on the screen.
Bridging all your communication needs
Liaison is a multipurpose, flexible interface for use between West-Com's nurse call products and external products, services and data such as paging systems and two-way wireless phones. It can also be used to provide connections between different data sources and targets. For example, a data stream from a TCP/IP connection to a telemetry monitoring system can be selected as a source with the output being a Novus Nurse Call System to create "calls" based on input trigger parameters specified for the input stream.
Through its ability to enable staff to receive patients’ text messages or give them a channel to respond back immediately and wirelessly, Liaison is a lifesaving technology that medical facilities can integrate into the workplace to drastically improve patient care.
Lighting the way to superior care
West-Com’s patented i-Dome®† was specifically designed to drastically improve patient care by providing a more effective alert system. It meets all HIPAA regulations and ensures complete patient privacy while providing critical information and alerts to the appropriate staff in just a single glance.
Through its interface with the nurse call system, patient bed and wireless devices, the i-Dome® can be programmed to alert staff to a variety of urgent conditions and patient needs such as pain management, documentation and reassessment checks, as well as identifying “at-risk” patients to reduce the number of patient falls. Staff can activate timers to visually remind them when it is time to reassess a patient’s medication and can be instantly alerted when there is a change in a patient’s bed status
The i-Dome has a clear LED light and three configurable Sealed Membrane Active Raised Tactile, SMART™ switches, which can display a vast assortment of colors in a customizable array of light assignments. These switches can be customized to suit your facility’s needs and are easy to operate and clean and are infection-control-friendly. The i-Dome® operates independently and can function alongside any existing nurse call system providing hospital environments with a simple, yet powerful way to improve patient care.

West-Com’s NV-DOME provides an immediate and clear visual notification of a room’s status and needs to staff members. Improve the quality and efficiency of your staff’s response with eight customizable colors and 4 different light indication modes. The NV-DOME easily mounts to the wall or ceiling for increased visibility from all angles.
Custom Colors: Long-life, low-power RGB LED lamps display yellow, green, red, blue, violet, turquoise, orange (2nd and 3rd positions only), and white (top and 4th positions only.)
Light modes: Solid, slow flashing, fast flashing, and scrolling indications.
Extra Features: Translucent lens allows maximum visibility in all directions and in high ambient lighting conditions. Built in buzzer for code calls, normal and emergency calls can be distinguished by different visual signals for efficient identifications. Configurable to any type of alarm.
