C. Larry Peters is the founder, President and CEO of West-Com Nurse Call Systems, Inc. since its establishment in 1983. His extensive career in healthcare started in 1969 when he became a hospital specialist selling for Lederle Laboratories. Later he established the West Coast healthcare office of West Chemical and developed a sophisticated and successful marketing plan for the establishment of infection control programs in hospitals. In 1978 Mr. Peters became the sales manager for GTE Sylvania and initiated and developed the West-Coast territory for their health care communications division. After GTE sold the division to North American Phillips, Mr. Peters became the area manager of the Western division, responsible for sales and marketing in the fifteen western states, for both the Hospitals and Hotel/Motel divisions. In 1983, he founded West-Com Nurse Call Systems, Inc. and has directed and managed the West-Com product line's growth from its beginning concept to the international, multi-million dollar corporation that it is today. As an equipment manufacturer, West-Com Nurse Call Systems, Inc. develops and manufactures state-of-the-art nurse call systems, clinic "staff flow" systems, intercom systems and visual nurse call systems. Mr. Peters attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he earned his BS degree in animal science, zoology and business.

 

Denise Peters is the General Manager of West-Com Nurse Call Systems. Denise has been with West-Com for eight years. She started out her career in public relations in New York City, and moved on to newspaper reporting, writing and then editing, both in New York and in California.  Denise co-directs the Marketing Department of West-Com along with Colleen Ryan, assisted by Maria Alfieri. As General Manager, she works with Larry Peters to oversee each division of the company.

 

Dania Atanassova-Een is the Chief Financial Officer for West-Com Nurse Call Systems. Dania has been with West-Com since 2005. She began her career in finance in 1992 as an Accounting Manager at a manufacturing facility in Sacramento California. Later she made the transition in to the retail/wholesale industry as a Controller. In 2001 Dania relocated to South Carolina where she assumed the position of Controller for a multi-million dollar Tier II Automotive Supplier. With vast experience in manufacturing and retail, Dania works with West-Com as well as its Distributors to achieve and maintain its financial goals.

Paul Langstroth -Vice President, Product Development

Paul started working for West-Com as a consultant in 1986. In the fall of 1994 Paul was offered the opportunity to join and head up the West-Com product development team.  He has been a key member of the corporation ever since.  As Vice President of Product Development, Paul is an Electronic Design Engineer, Software Engineer, PCB Designer, Technical Writer, System Administrator and Manager, all rolled into one. Paul is also a certified design engineer for Microchip Technology Inc. based in Chandler, Arizona. Microchip Technology Inc. is a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors. He is skilled in numerous software development languages, electronic design, and circuit board development.  Paul’s professional experience encompasses all aspects of system design for West-Com products from initial concept to final production.

 

Joe Wherity is the Assistant Director of Technical Services at West-Com. Joe has an AA Degree in electronics and worked previously on Kidney Dialysis Machines (medical equipment). Joe started at West-Com in 2004 as an RMA Technician. Joe moved in to Technical Support as a Quality Assurance Technician in May of 2005 and began Installation Certifications. In October of 2005 Joe became the head instructor for the West-Com Training Classes.

 

Colleen Ryan is the Co-Director of Marketing for West-Com Nurse Call Systems, Inc.  Colleen has been with West-Com since July of 2002.  As Co-Director of Marketing with Denise Peters, Colleen is responsible for local and national trade show registration, Sales Training registration, Annual Owners Meeting registration, and in-house and distributor sales support, including requests for literature and sales materials.  Originally hired as an Administrative Assistant, she devoted a large portion of her time assisting the Marketing Department in preparation for her current position.  Colleen is a 2001 graduate of San Francisco State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in music.
